One guy (Jim Beezer) picks No. 3 Coleman Scott (Oklahoma State) over No. 2 Jimmy Kennedy (Illinois) at 133. I might be wrong, but don't the 2 and 3 seed meet in the semis?

Yes sir, you are correct the two and three should meet in the semi's. Probably, just an oversight.

I'm just learning how to make picks from the bracket seedings, so mine most likely suck. I was following what you said but you are assuming they both win to get to the semi's. Perhaps the Beezer is looking at a Kennedy loss prior to the semi's. I think there are two wrestlers that have a better than average chance of beating him. Marble in the 2nd round or Grey in the third round if he gets there. Oh right, I see, Scott would have to face Gomez if he kept winning, so he couldn't take 2nd. Like I said, I'm learning.
    See you in St. Louis!

JPO, in order to get to the finals you have to win your semi final bout. The 2 and 3 seed would meet in the semi's, no way the 2 and 3 are in the finals at the same weight.

I see you got it already. Like I said probably just an oversight.

Concur those guys are all over the board. Another writer has Donahoe beating either the #1 or #2 seed in the finals. Note to the writer #2 & #3 will meet in the semis.
The NCAA selection committee just screwed the Gophers on seeding.

Your love for Metcalf and Iowa is understandable...although a bit scary. Iowa peaked at the Duals, the only reason they'll be in it is because they always show up in the end. I'm more surprised about ISU only having one pick for the team title. If they wrestle like they have recently they'll be within striking distance on Saturday.

Is there a thread with final team predictions?...can't find one.

Iowa peaked at the Duals? You would have thought they would have done everyone the courtesy of not then winning the toughest conference there is...Iowa State just doesn't have the horses to win the NCAA's. A good tournament in a 5 team conference is nice and all, but they don't have the point scorers for NCAA's. Fanthorpe, Sanderson, Reader, Varner, and Zabriskie are the only guys who are realistically going to AA, and the only high AA in that group is Varner, with the possibility of Zabriskie in a shallow HWT class. One champ and 4 guys AAing between 5-8 ain't gonna cut it.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

Any of these opinionators who didn't pick Metcalf does not know wrestling. Also, to not pick Iowa is almost as foolish.

Personally, I have no dog in this fight. However, I know my wrestling.

Nice to see you're just as pleasant and substantive with your arguments when talking about wrestling as you are over on the P&R board.
