Hey, I know better than most. Lost my mother when I was 9 to cancer, my brother in Vietnam when I was a pre-teen, my father when I was 30 to cancer, and my step-mother a couple of years ago to terrible dementia. And you are correct, you never get over it.

Consider Gable's story. That is about as horrible as it can get for a family. But he channeled that hurt and it was probably one of the main things that drove him. He didn't need to take a swing at other wrestlers, he pretty much physically but legally beat them on the mat.

But, I'm approaching old fart age now where you go to more funerals than weddings....

Agreed, but I think we're all intitled to a wrong doing here and there. Metcalf, generally is a classact and a great sportsman. Not to mention he cares a lot about his team, both a personal and professional level. (Meaning that yes, he wants to see his teammates do well so that he can be part of a national team championship but he also wants to see them do well cause he knows how much it means to them as individuals.)

Do I condone the unsportsman like conduct that Metcalf displayed? Absolutely not! Do I understand that stuff like that happens and that he's usually not like that. yeah, I do.

Best of luck to Metcalf, he's still a good guy in my book.

Never said he wasn't. People can learn from their mistakes. Again, I didn't see anything from his finals match this weekend that was bad.

I think we're all missing the most important point:

METCALF SUX!!!!!! HE IS TEH CHEAPSHOOT ARTISTT!!!!!!! SCHLATTER RULEZ!!!!!!!!

From everything I've read or seen, Metcalf is a good guy. He seems a natural leader, and calls out the guys on his team when they don't live up to their potential, but he doesn't do it in a way that alienates them. In the match, I didn't see anything that bad. As I've said, if the rematch happens in two weeks, I've got Schlatter winning, if only because he knows what he has to do.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I'm loving the fact that Schlatter is going to be extremely motivated for the match. I think a pi$$ed off Schlatter is going to be a good thing.

LOL. How many times do you think Morgan and J Rob will make Dustin watch that match? I think at least once so that he can see the expression on his face versus Metcalf's.

Its going to sound "cheesy" but Metcalf has the face that Dustin had two years ago. Hungry, intense...Dustin didn't seem timid, just seemed like he couldn't match his intensity and he knew it.

I HOPE the rematch happens. Metcalf is more of a guarantee in the final then DS but DS is the only one that can give Metcalf a good final match.
