Quality is poor, but here it is for now. Hopefully someone can get a better version up on Youtube or something.

Thanks for the post. This was a good tough match.
Based on this video, I don't think that Schlatter was stalling. But I also think that Metcalf outhustled him at the end of the match. Both of these guys are going to tear up the field at Nationals.

You don't believe the warning or the point were valid calls?
I guess this is a good example on why it's called a judgement call.

Yeah, I read in a post-match interview that Schlatter was surprised when he got hit with the stalling call. It's just hard to not look like you're stalling when you're wrestling Metcalf.

Honestly, I'd like to see a Caldwell-Metcalf rematch more than a Schlatter-Metcalf. Caldwell looked like he was going after Metcalf in the video.

Said I'd have more to say once I saw the video, so...

It was interesting. First of all, Dustin didn't gas. He rolled up on his ankle pretty awkwardly after Metcalf took a shot on him when both were out of bounds early in the second period. After that Dustin was markedly more tentative than he had been in the first. The thing Brands insinuated was a lung break came after Dustin got his knee wrenched pretty good while countering a shot. Dustin wasn't even breathing that heavily (insert "because he kept taking those time outs!" joke here)

In the three shrug situations, the first one Dustin scored with Metcalf almost countered it by rolling through much like he did against Dragon at the Dapper Dan. The second one, Metcalf nearly countered for a TD of his own slipping out going right to his front head, then he did a good job dancing out of the third one.

Metcalf did a great job on bottom moving immediately, staying compact, and getting wrist control. He made sure the match was going to go where he had his best shot at, which was on the feet. Kudos to him.

Dustin did a great job countering the only time Metcalf really got in deep on his legs that wasn't out of bounds or after the whistle. Much like Dustin's shrugs, thats a TD against just about everyone else.

Cant' say I really had a problem with the stalling calls, but as I mentioned earlier I wonder if it really comes to that if Dustin doesn't start gimping around.

Metcalf did a nice job resisting lunging for his front headlock like he's done against some guys, probably had the duck in the back of his mind.

Overall, good match. We'll see if they won't manage to navigate the absolute meat grinder that this weight should be in St. Louis.
