For what it's worth......

To Wiltzee about Bono I don't think he can bring a program back from the dead and if Varner leaves this program is dead, after next year it will be 10 years before ISU will have a top 10 finish. I'm sure they will lose recruits Taylor and Weatherman. If the face of ISU wrestling says he can't win a title at ISU what am I supposed to do? Total and complete despair. College wrestling f#$% it.

FWIW, yes this is a big blow. However, Iowa State had a strong wrestling program before Sanderson showed up, and I see no reason they won't have one after he's gone. To the extent he said or implied that he couldn't win at Iowa State, I think that's smoke to cover for his tripling salary. They could have won this year. They might have won next year.

I hope they get Terry Brands, KJ, or Heskett. I would rather see Gibbons take back over or Pollard fill in as interim than Bono get it.

If Borelli is truly looking, that would be great too.
