Freshman of the Year: Kellen Russell
Wrestler of the Year: Brent Metcalf
OW: Brent Metcalf (Maybe Escobedo, beating the #1, and #2. They seem to hesitate giving both awards to the same guy)
Coach of the Year: Tom Brands
Wild Cards: Mark McKnight, Tyler Safratowich

    Total Attendance: 19,891

Spot on with the awards. You nailed it. Haven't seen any announcement on the WC's but I can't think of anyone that would take the 2 spots other than McKnight and Saf.

Saf didn't get a Wild Card? Really? I'm surprised. He's a guy you can't help but root for. I like the kid.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

Dieffenbach, and Sponseller struggling this weekend probably didn't help him as those two were his biggest wins this year. Dieffenbach is still going, but struggled, and then Sponseller went two and out.

You can always use the old "political" argument too, sending Saf would have given J ten guys to take.

Regardless of how it happened, I still think Saf is more deserving than someone who went 1-7 in Conference duals, if it turns out that Kinser was the guy who got it.

Edit: I just checked the Indiana site, and Kinser did indeed get one.

Should be a fun one in St. Louis in two weeks, hopefully everyone on every team can manage to get healthy, and me and Schlottke can get the servers healthy so you all can be on here uninterrupted all weekend.

I've got work I need to do now since basically all I've done all weekend is follow the tournament, so I really don't want to have to come back in here and find all kinds of anger and indignation all up in the threads.

So, to all. Please try and keep the taunting from getting excessive, and responses to taunting from getting too heated.
    JenenS,

Thanks so much for your work on keeping this forum going. I'll save my taunting for after NCAAs. Hope your guys get healthy for Nationals.

    Thanks

While he had the worst tournament one could probably dream of having, I'm still surprised the Big Ten didn't toss Henning a bone since he was a finalist in '07.

Henning did not even place 8th.
To get a WC I think you should at least place
