You can pick up the light rail outside of the Mega Mall, but the train really doesn't go anywhere near williams arena. The traffic around Williams will be a nightmare. I've gotten in two fender benders infront of the place so becareful.

The train will take you downtown, but it takes a while then you'r best bet is to try and catch a cab. look into it more when you see a map. Just a heads up.

THe 5-8 club is straight up Cedar from the Mall. Trust me, no one has ever been disappointed.

Thanks, I was just looking into the train more. It gets us downtown, but still 2-3 miles from the arena. The bus might take too long to wait for.

It looks like it would be a lot quicker for a cab from the train station.

    Any other tips are appreciated.

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

The train goes to the West Bank of the University (Cedar-Riverside), doesn't it? That is a bit of hike to Williams Arena, but it isn't that far--you just need to cross the Washington Ave. bridge and then cut through the East Bank campus. I don't think that it would be any worse than walking from the East Bank dorms to the West Bank classrooms (which I did many times as a student there).

Come on now, I'm a fat lazy wrestling coach! Walking a quarter mile gets me winded!

All the better...you can get in the swing of the whole wrestling thing with the 1.5 mile walk.

Do you want me to have a heart attack?

How is the weather there? I think we are supposed to be driving through some snow tonight.

Personally, fat guy or not (which I am) I wouldn't walk it. especially in this cold. The myth of the light rails is that it actually gets you to a place oyu need to go. and it certainly doesn't take you anywhere near the arena.

If it were me, I would just drive and fight with the traffic. Theres plenty to do around there if you like to not remember the second session. Like I used to like to do.

Go to the Big Ten and get yourself a Hot Ham and Cheese Sub with French Fries and get a side of ketchup AND mayonnaise. Now THAT's living boys.

You guys are hilarious! I've been checking this site for a while and just am really getting back into the whole NCAA scene after having to take some time off (too hard to watch after competing for so long).

I've really enjoyed checking out some of the comments and posts and has been a good way to get inside the whole scene.

So, I've been checking and it looks like only the Big Ten finals will be broadcast at all! You would think the BTN would cover the semi's as well. Heck, I sat last weekend streaming the PAC10's live (every session). You would expect the Big10 could out do the PAC 10 when it comes to wrestling coverage. Is there any other coverage than the finals for the Big 10's?
