David Bertollino and Aaron Scott had great senior day duals,
Gallick nailed a wicked spladle (been hinting at em all season)
Clark looking better and better match by match,
Varner was flawless,
EVERY match ISU brought it, not even a close one: 22-12 ISU!

Losses to:
Clark 2-2 Shinn, Donahoe
Gallick 3-1 Morgan
Mueller 2-2 Wagner, Burroughs
Scott 2-2 Browne, Mason
Now I could be overlooking some things, but on its face it looks like the Cyclones will be seeded at least third in every weight.

125 - Donahoe (3-1), Fio (3-2), Shinn (2-2), Clark (2-2), Olanowski (0-4)
133 - Scott (5-0), Fanthorpe (3-1), Jordan (2-2), McCormick (1-2), Shelton (0-4)
141 - Morgan (5-0), Gallick (3-1), Rowe (2-1), Bailey (1-4), Hoehn (0-4)
149 - Burroughs (4-0), Wagner (3-1), Mueller (2-2), Rowe (2-3), Freeman (0-3)
157 - Chandler (4-0), Sanderson (3-1), Terry (2-3), Oliver (1-3), McSpadden (1-3)
165 - Marable (4-0), Dieffenbach (4-1), Dwyer (2-2), Reader (1-3), Dean (0-5)
174 - Browne (4-0), Mason (4-1), Scott (2-2), James (1-3)*, Wittmeyer (0-3), DeVilbiss (0-1)
184 - Varner (4-0), Jordan (3-1), Weitzel (3-2), Jones (1-3), Jensen (0-4)
197 - Askren (4-0), Flaggert (3-2), Bertolino (2-2), Brester (2-2), Foster (0-5)
HWT - Zabriskie (4-0), Rosholt (4-1), May (2-2), Ellis (1-3), Fernandez (0-5)

Unless he does poorly at conference, however, I don't see how they can leave him off the nationals roster. Clark has been wrestling well and consistent. I guess he'll just have to show he's worthy at the conf tourney.

I already bought my tickets to Nationals, and seeing all 10 at Nationals like last year will be sweet.
The real ISU2008 is skipping Nationals in order to go skiing in Colorado.

It is not common for freshman to get wild cards, but Reader and Clark would be deserving. Need to avoid mistakes at 133-149 and 197 to ensure Fanthorpe, Gallick, Mueller, and Bertolino all qualify. McCormick is a returning AA and Jordan will give Fanthorpe another tough match. Gallick has had close matches with 4 seed Bailey and 5 seed Hoehn. Mueller has a close victory over 4 seed Rowe. Bertolino will need to have another great day in order to place ahead of Brester, Flaggert, or Askern. Bert has wrestled Flaggert and Askern pretty tough, but he needs to wrestle 7 minutes (9 minutes in Brester's case), to have a chance to extend his season.
