That match is going to be a close one, at least in my opinion. Saf has a gas tank, and he will test Sponseller's leg defense. Colt obviously has a great gas tank, and great leg attacks, he's got to tighten things up though. |
Well said. I was thinking the same thing leading up to the Tann match. I didn't see any way people could be picking Sponseller to win that match. I think some buckeye fans completely forgot that a win over Coughlin and Kerr isn't even in the same league as a win over Tannenbaum. Especially when there's plenty of tape on him for a smart wrestler like Tann to study and gameplan for. I was hoping for the upset, but I certainly didn't expect it. I was a little suprised that he wasn't able to secure even a single takedown. That was a good barometer match of just how much farther he needs to go to be on the elite level.
As for Saf, I agree that a major is not out of the question, but I wouldn't expect it. I'd expect something along the lines of 8-6 or something like that. I expect Sponseller to win, but he'll have to work for it.

With that said, I don't really see the point in getting on here and making predictions of what is already expected; without going out on a few limbs, there is nothing interesting about the predictions. Often times there are matches (or games in other sports) that I know in my head will come out one way, but I still hope my fan-passion for the contrary and occasionally make predictions on that basis. Without doing this, I find little entertainment in making predictions... | I agree 100%. I go out on a limb on some picks just to spark conversation. YES, I did pick Sponseller over Tann. And it sparked a nice friendly rivalry of bantering. This is what makes predictions just that: "Predictions". Otherwise; we would call them forgone conclusions.

Just a little bit of that friendly bantering when I come back at your prediction and say, Spons aint majoring Saf.

Those spark conversation, too. I admit that must have been dreaming to suggest that Sponseller would beat Tannenbaum. But then I woke up.

I think Rivera will win

Ness does his thing but he won't pin Triggas unless he gets up by a major...Triggas is pretty tough. I think Ness will have to beat him mentally and then he will get him to give up the 6.
