He's got a great thing going on with the site, but his interview skills need some work, both when it comes to doing his homework, and his question asking. | I agree the site rocks but seriously "How did you do last year at the NCAA's? WTF.
I liked the Ness comment, " I made the semis where I got beat pretty badly 10-0, that kinda sucked." You gotta love the honesty. Probably the same thing Charlie Falck was saying Friday night when he cried himself to sleep saying, "I got rode like Mack Reiter."

Anyone else find it peculiar that Ness looks just like the guy on the left?

1.Disciplined-he obviously has both the height and frame to come in much heavier. But chooses not to, which is very hard to do.
2.Focused-on being the champ, and will not let weight be an issue in his performance, like so many do. | | |

He is soooo full of enthusiasm about what he does, and wrestling in general. I think he gets so excited, and his mind is going in a million different directions at once, and he does so much of this stuff right on-the-spot, that he just says whatever is on his mind. Yeah, sometimes it comes out wrong, or sounding weird, but I think it's refreshing to have someone talking to these guys without asking all the usual boring type questions that you always hear. And the way he is in the interviews is the way he is in general when he's not doing interviews. Just a mile a minute.
As for the questions like "how did you do last year" -- I think some of that is for the benefit of viewers who may not know. Kind of giving a background.
I dunno, that's just my opinion, I can't help but laugh at some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth, and at the end of the day, being entertained is what I like.

He should just have his main five questions written down the way that he wants to ask them and leave the free flow question as the spontaneous questions based on the Ness's responses.
Flo "What did you like about Boondock Saints Jayson?"
Ness "Chicks think I look like the guy on the left."

I would agree for most interviewers.... but I'm not entirely sure he's capable of that. He strikes me as a totally "winging it" sort of person, maybe not the most organized guy I've known... When he was at the Super 32 he lost a power cord and was searching frantically all over for it. He sent me a text about 2 months after the tournament, he had just found it.... in his suitcase.
Unless he hires someone to do the interviews, I don't think you are going to see much of a change in his style
