I agree with Wiltz - especially if you listen to the audio. He is talking about what to expect from Metcalf, then mentions the Schlatter match, but then is back to the major from Metcalf and the pin from Keddy, which is referring to how they won their matches vs Northwestern.

I read this as Brands emphasizing "I don't think so". Meaning that it was unrealistic to expect a major and a pin, so the rest of the team had to step up. Of course, by the end of the paragraph he is onto a completely different thought.

Hey folks, listen to the interview, don't just read the transcript. Brands is an intense guy, but the meaning is clear and totally rational. He's saying that the supporting cast, all but Metcalf and Keddy, need to step up. Then he reframes it as EVERYONE needs to step up.
His point is: if Iowa wrestles against Minny like they wrestled against NW, they won't win. He's disappointed and wants them to improve.
So if you guys need an interpreter for Brands-speak or Iowese, just ask. I charge $100/hr. but I'll do it for any of you for $60.
All you Minny fans in the area need to show up for this meet. This is the time to break the attendance records. You got a great team. Get out and support it.
