Tournaments Joined: 2 Tournament Wins: 1 | Minnesota's Michigan Trip Gophers head up to Michigan this weekend. It'll be interesting to see how things go down, especially with the two HUGE match ups coming next weekend.
v. Michigan
125: Ness v. Watts
133: Reiter v. Diehl
141: Rivera v. Russell
149: Schlatter v. Churella
157: Schlatter v. Marsh
165: Saf or Glasser v. Tannenbaum
174: Dretsch v. Luke
184: Kish v. Todd
197: Bronson v. Biondo
285: Malamura or Berhow v. Bleske
A lot here will depend on who in the Gophers line up is in it, and who isn't. I think Rivera turns the Russell match around from National Duals, and I think CP puts a bigger score on Marsh than the 3-2 showing from duals.
v. Michigan State
125: Ness v. Trombley
133: Reiter v. Gomez
141: Rivera v. Carter
149: Schlatter v. Hammer
157: Schlatter v. Fulger
165: Saf or Glasser v. Kendle
174: Dretsch v. Murphy
184: Kish v. Palmieri
197: Bronson v. Williams
285: Malamura or Berhow v. O'Donnell
This is actually the first dual, they wrestle MSU on Friday, then Michigan on Saturday. So maybe this is the one where you see a few guys sit down. Regardless they should win this one pretty handily.
Some great individual match ups here if everyone is in the line up. Rivera v. Russell, Schlatter v. Churella, Kish v. Todd against Michigan. Then the one big one against MSU, Reiter v. Gomez

74. Luke-3
84. Todd-3

MSU dual...that's just ugly, but I'll be the outcast and take Gomez.

The Russell v Rivera bout becomes the decider.
If Kish stays home which may be higher probability than Schlatter, Minny is up against a wall.

Great style clash, Reiter the brawler, and then Gomez the slick guy. While Reiter has seen some problems against guys in the past, I don't see Gomez being one. The slick guys that have troubled Reiter before have either been taller than him like Nathan Morgan was, or just so slick it was ridiculous, but also able to deal with the brawling like Shawn Bunch.
I like Gomez a lot, but Slaton wore him down in their Midlands match, and did a nice job riding him tough, Ness rode him for a while in their match I think (haven't seen the match in a while so I'm not positive), and we all know how Reiter is able to wear on guys from the top.
Call this something like a 9-6 win for Reiter.
