I can't even imagine the feelings in the Nebraska wrestling room during practices. Can you imagine guys working out while their team is unranked all along having the ability to be second ranked team? Just unbelievable!

They might be ranked #2, but they aren't the #2 team in the nation.. Still impressive to make the move from nothing to #2, though.

they are extremely balanced and match up well with everyone...i don't think they will be #2 come tournament time but thats another story...

It's great to see the Huskers doing so well in duals. I agree it's a big question as to where they will finish at nationals. I think they have a chance to place 6 or 7 guys, but I would bet on 3 or 4. You never know with these young guys though. They could really turn it on or lay an egg. It's exciting though and I hope they peak out at the end. Confidence is huge.

I think it is great that there are some teams mixing it up again this year. We are not just seeing the same number 1 ranked team.

People seem to constantly forget that, and mix up unseeded at National Duals, with unranked. I think they were actually ranked in the top 5 for a while early in the season.

Actually i don't think nebraska was ranked as high as #5 until just recently...but i agree, they have been ranked in the top 20 all year...unseeded at national duals...you can't really blame pollsters because nebraska hadn't wrestled at full strength all year and i don't think they had the same line-up twice all year until duals...

You're right, I don't know for some reason I had it in my head that when they came to Minnesota in December they were #5, but I just looked and they were #12.

But as has been pointed out, they've never been "unranked" and most knowledgeable folk looked at their line up and recognized how dangerous they were to anyone.
