While its easy to pick on Cornell, and believe me I like to, especially with the likes of GrapplerFan who takes it personally, I think Lewnes does wrestle with maturity.

This means he doesn't make the same mistakes that a normal freshman makes, say a John Weakly, or a Ryan Prater. This goes a long way. I haven't seen to much of Lewnes, but I like what I've seen thus far. I think he had a legitimate shot at beating Perry, I'm confounded how he couldn't finish any of those takedowns.

I'm curious to be able to watch Colt Sponseller at this weight. I think this would be an interesting match between two true frosh (I think) and I've heard lots of good things about sponseller.

Sorry for the tangent, mostly trying to give my bro some credibility on his first post. But I like Lenwes in the match up.

For what its worth, Lewnes isn't a true freshman. He graduated two years ago, spent last year at the OTC.

Match up between him and Sponseller should be a good one though.

Yes, Sponseller is a true freshman, I believe he was the National High School wrestler of the year last year.

Nikko Triggas their starting 125 is a true freshman as well.

I know, so is Weakly, (which is an oxymoron if I've ever heard one). I'm curious as to why. Ryan is a spectacular coach and I think TOSU is going to be tough moving forward, but I think especially Weakly would have benefited from the RS year.

Thought this forum might be free of the pointless insults prevelant on so many Forums. Guess I was wrong.

"Maturity" means he does not wrestle like a Freshman (ie- he is not prone to critical mental mistakes that give away competitive matches). He stays aggressive throughout the match, unlike many Ivy and East Coast wrestlers, but wrestles smart, tactically sound matches. Since he trained for a year at the OTC I guess this is to be expected.
