Thread: Dustin's injury

    Default Dustin's injury

Will his injury reportly a hamstring affect his conditioning? How much training can he do? Does his injury give Metcalf an edge? I was thinking that this is bad timing for the most anticipated match-up of the year.

Below is a good natured jab at those of you who worship at the Temple of the Golden Mongoose

We all know if his hamstring is hurt he may not be able to back off the mat fast enough.

Seriously is there anything else to do in Iowa other than talk about how great Metcalf is? I'm starting to think there must not be with the lack of professional teams.

Seriously to even hint at the fact DS would duck Metcalf is just dumb. I guess they decided to have him miss all four matches this weekend to strengthen his alibi.
The NCAA selection committee just screwed the Gophers on seeding.

Relax a little. It was a serious question. Do you think that his hamstring injury will affect his conditioning in his match with Metcalf?

I have only seen DS wrestle once in person against Alex Gruder last year. DS looked tired against a grinder like Alex. DS won easily but, he looked really, really, tired. I just found it ironic that in back to back years he is coming of of an injury going into the dual against Iowa.

DS is great, Metcalf is good yes. I just wanted to see a match up with both of them at 100%. That is all. Just chill a little. I haven't been ranting a raving about Metcalf so there.

When did I hint that he was ducking anybody? Nobody knows the extent of his injury.

Its obviously a possibility. The Grunder match is the only time in the two and a half years I've been watching him in college that Dustin seemed to gas. Metcalf's tank was one of the bigger advantages he had in the matches in high school, but in college problems with Dustin's gas seem to have disappeared.

One of Metcalf's best attributes when it comes to wearing people out is his ability to control the ties, and then run them all over the mat with his pressure. He'll be harder pressed to do that against Dustin, who is one of the top five guys in college right now when it comes to controlling situations from the feet.

Wasn't you. You know that there have been several posts by others some joking and some probably not about him ducking. Much like everyone else I'm excited to see this match with both at 100% as well. If both teams are healthy not only this match but almost every match (especially 197 ) will be exciting.

I think at 197 everybody will be covering their eyes. Should be exciting. Glad it is on BTN.

I wonder if they'll be able to top the epic Urban Cowboy v. Football Player match up at 197 from last year.
