Keep the distance a little bit on the feet, and defend that little superduck/high crotch shot that Perry takes from way, way out. And then most importantly when you shoot on him you've got to finish quick. In the match Tann won last year, his first TD he finished quick, and in OT when he hit his move for two and two he won a scramble. Perry is too good from the crackdown position to dillydally when you bring him down to his butt.

They both rode each other last year in the match again that Tann won, I didn't see the other one.

I'm just saying, when March comes around, Perry brings it. He's only lost to Herbert (bigger then him and can match the Funk) and Hendricks (which is the strategy Tann is trying to use)...but he's nowhere near as strong. I just don't think come the post season, motivation will be a problem for Perry. It never has been.

Freshman year: He beat Troy Letters. At the time, I thought Letters was going to walk through the tourney.

Sophomore year: He won the most Falls at the tourney as he placed third behind Askren and Herbert. All three would win NCAA titles the next year.

Junior year: Beat hendricks. Bottom line.

I don't think Perry showing up at the NCAA tourney is the problem.

He puts a lot of pressure on himself.

He will show up and may repeat.

4. The stalling calls...uh, what? He got dinged for stalling like 5 seconds after he'd come really close to turning Tann with that power half. It was bogus. Most of the action in that match was due to Perry. He's the prohibitive favorite come March, when he ALWAYS shows up.
