This was a GREAT match...LOL...Malamura was outweighed by at least 40-50 lbs but took it to this guy and was aggressive on his feet. I think Malamura takes over at heavy unless Nord/Berhow decide they suddenly want to be D1 Heavyweights.

I really enjoyed the fan support Malamura got. The kid got a well-deserved ovation from the Gopher fans.

What is kind of funny is that he "looked" like a heavy out there the way he wrestled on his feet and on the mat. He must work against Nord/Berhow/Bronson all day in the room.

The kid can't really shoot against other 197 lb'ers but he looked pretty fluid against heavies. This being said, he will absolutely wear down by the end of day today if he has to go against two more big heavies. 1-1 was not a bad day at all seeing as how he wrestled #13 and #8.
