I don't recall there being a run of people jumping on Bergman's bandwagon. Bergman has settled the argument that he certainly belongs in the argument. He started out at #5 and certainly has shown he deserves #2.

If he was facing the quality of opponents that some of these other guys did day in and day out, he would have 1-4 losses a year I think. This year that would still keep him in the running for #1.

157 C.P. d Oliver 10-7 Minny (this will be at most a three point match, close)
165 Dwyer d Safratowich 10-10 (could go to Minny as well, Saf going well)
174 Dretsch d Browne 13-10 (Gabe wrestling well)
184 Kish d Jones 16-10 Minny (Kish owns victories w Jones, still close)
197 Brester md Bronson 16-14 Minny (Bronson NEEDs to stay off of his back)
Hwt Malamura v May 17-16 Minny (Could happen, we will see)
If Ness loses:
125 Donahoe d Ness 3-0 NU (toss-up as usual)
133 Reiter d Jordan 3-3 (Reiter's tank is full, looking good)
141 Rivera md Mike Rowe 7-3 Minny (gonna need bonus here)
149 Burroughs md Mellmer 7-6 Minny (could be six for NU)
157 C.P. d Oliver 7-9 NU (C.P. has to own this)
165 Saf d Dwyer 10-9 Minny (possible, Saf was once as high as #7)
174 Dretsch d Browne 13-9 Minny
184 Kish d Jones 16-9 Minny
197 Brester d Bronson 16-12 Minny
Hwt May d Malamura 16-15 Minny
Let me say this, with DS out, this is a TALL task for Minny and I think you have to favor Nebraska. We will see how J Rob can get his troops pumped up to wrestle. Bonus points will be scarce I am afraid. I do have to admit that the way that Iowa looked yesterday it may be all for naught.
I really like the way that Bronson and Malamura wrestled today. They showed alot of guts and have gone from looking like those weights would be giving up 6-12 every meet to possibly looking like they could even split in some duals. That will help out alot. | Brother Gofer,
The math doesn't add up in either it should look like this:
Scenario 1
Ness d 3-0
Rieter d 6-0
Rivera md 10-0
Burroughs md 10-4
CP d 13-4
Dwyer d 13-7
Dretsch d 16-7
Kish d 19-7
Brester md 19-11
May d 19-14
Scenario 2
Donohoe d 0-3
Reiter d 3-3
Rivera md 3-7
Burroughs md 7-7
CP d 7-10
Saf d 7-13
Dretsch d 7-16
Kish d 7-19
Brester d 10-19
May d 13-19
Either way it looks good but we need to win all the tossups. I posted in another link and had us losing 17-16 but am obviously hoping for one of your two scenarios.

Kish over jones
Brester MD bronson?
May dec yura
On paper nebraska is a definite favorite with no dustin, but I think that minnesota can win this. Im super incredibly bummed that I dont get to watch this... | | |

I was the one who said dllagnev outclasses every current D1 heavy and would breeze through nationals | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
