IOWA CITY - The University of Iowa Athletics Ticket Office has one piece of advice for fans who want to attend Saturday's college wrestling dual between the No. 1 ranked Hawkeyes and No. 6 Oklahoma State: Purchase your tickets in advance of match day.

The UI Athletics Department already has sold almost 9,500 tickets for the first home dual meet of 2008 for Coach Tom Brands' undefeated and top-ranked squad. It expects sales to continue at a brisk pace through 5 p.m., Friday.

The UI Athletic Ticket Office will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets will be available for purchase over-the-counter at the North, South and West entrances of Carver.

"We expect very strong interest in this event and our suggestion is to buy in advance if you are planning on being in attendance," said Jess Rickertsen, assistant director of the UI Athletics Ticket Office. The dual meet is scheduled to start shortly after 7 p.m. in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

In addition to guaranteeing yourself a reserved seat in Carver-Hawkeye, the cost of ticket purchased in advance is less than those purchased on match night. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for youth when purchased in advance. The prices increase to $10 and $5 - if available - on match night.

Tickets can be purchased online at hawkeyesports.com by clicking, over the telephone at 1 (800) IA-HAWKS, and at the UI Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye.
