He wrestled Sees in the finals who is ranked 13th and the highest ranked guy besides Ness was Tomasette at 9th. No Donahoe, Escobedo, Gardner, Presin and Falck. Also, he is lucky Nickerson is taking a year off to pursue medicine!
The weight definitely wasn't the strongest, but regardless, he deserves credit for not taking any matches off, and going out and pinning everybody he wrestled.
I like Ness b/c it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he set a personal goal of going out and pinning everyone in this tournament and if not, then once he got the first three out of the way it certainly appeared that way.

He didn't get to pick his opponents. He simply tended to business and did the best he (or anyone could). So Big, what is your point, or are you just trolling?

I agree, the weight class may have been fairly soft. But when was the last time you saw someone stick 6 guys @ D1 tournament?
I think it was an impressive performance.
especially in the last match against the toughest opponent...i know in most two day tournaments I was wrestling in I had to dig deep to wrestle at a high energy level for six matches...

12 out of 15 is right up there with some of Askren's runs last year. Although the first period pin run that Baskren went on last year was pretty sweet. Was it 5, 6 or 7?
