What got in to C.P. today?

I don't usually keep track of these things because I am not sure C.P. wrestled anyone of consequence today but I would think this has been his highest scoring collegiate tournament day with a tech fall, major and a pin in the same day.

I'm going with he's read my comments in Wrestling Talk about him not meeting all the expectations of him when he came outta high school and decided to treat each opponent the rest of this year like it's me. That or maybe he's embarrassed by the fact he's fallen all the way to 10 after being the #2 seed at NCAA's two years ago and having won two Big Ten titles against outstanding competition. Maybe he finally realized if he actually wrestled he could score a ton of points because he has HUGE talent.

Blah, Blah, Blah, I'm done.

As much as I like C.P. think poeta is at another level this year.

that loss to Pami from Cal I think woke him up a little bit...don't get me wrong, Pami is a pretty good wrestler but CP should have learned the lesson by now that lesser opponents are trying to keep matches with him close through two periods and then hope for a takedown and that scouting report has been working...he needs to get out early, trust his stuff and score...he can play cat and mouse with henning and poeta but he needs to get after it with everyone else...I think he will.

I kind of have to agree with you here but I still think Henning, Poeta and C.P. can take each other out almost any night...I would say Poeta wins the majority of the matches however against both of these guys so has the best chance if you are asking me today.

Its such a stacked weight in the B10s... You have Cp, Poeta, Becker, and Henning, all of whom will likely be at least two time AAs. Last year these guys were all neck and neck but poeta seems to be the most improved and becker seems to be the odd man out.

Ill be really interested to see if henning can finally figure becker out, I havent seen any of their matches but I know becker is like 5-0 agains henning.

Isn't it something like CP always beats Becker who always beats Henning who always beats CP who splits with Poeta?

Something like that, both poeta and cp beat on becker from what I've seen, but becker beats henning who has beaten both poeta and cp :P

C.p. looked great against gillspie today he wrestled smart and it seemed like he got in on the leg at will when he got his underhooks into play. Who knows maybe its finally CPs year, hes just so damn inconsistent.
