Hi there,

I am a former Judoka who wants to get involved with freestyle wrestling
I have never been to north America and plan to do some studies there. I have thought probably going to a University with good wrestling facilities would be a nice option for me.
I am not planning to become a Olympian or something very advanced in wrestling but just practicing and improving my physical abilities in wrestling.

Does any one of you practice wrestling in university? What is a student athlete then?! Does he/she spend most of the time practicing for the team?
The freestyle wrestling is almost in all of the north American universities in the Varsity sports. Does it mean that you have to be a student athlete to practice with the team or is it open to all students?

But you can practice with a team,they usaully have a JV team at universities and you can"walk on" the team but you spend about half your time practicing and the other half studying.
