It's probably past the point where it matters, but it seemed odd to me that someone would come onto a wrestling website and attack a wrestling fan who pointed out that the wrestling gym (arena) is below standard. Your basic point seemed to be "Yes, the gym sucks, but wrestling is extremely unimportant to us. Don't worry about how bad our gym is, we only care about academics"

That doesn't change the fact that your gym sucks.

nusports.com would probably have a complete list later this week.
Thanks! I saw those earlier today so my question was answered.

Hey everyone -- it looks as though people have moved on a little, but I'm all for moving on from the facilities/grammar quibbling. It's starting to sound a bit like the other forum on here!

I'm all for everyone getting along, so perhaps we can agree to disagree. The Northwestern facilities might not be as great as other Big 10 schools, but personally I don't think they are that bad. I wrestled there every year in college for University Nationals, and the venue was great compared to some of the other crappy places that major events have been held in. My freshman year of college, they had the women's world team trials at a tiny Salvation Army gym in St Paul. It made Welsh-Ryan look like a palace in comparison!

It might not be Carver-Hawkeye arena, but I bet that it beats wrestling at a rodeo (like Homerdindon was describing in the Reno thread).

    god, those were the days...

ditka was great for that rivalry...i miss him in football but i am glad to see him pick up the banner for ex-football players and trying to get them better health coverage...

what really is funny is that now that is exactly what they do there in the winter on days when there is no football, they open up the metrodome levels inside for walkers and rollerbladers...

somebody want to try to explain to me why i am leaving florida on Thursday to pay $1,500 for my family and I fly to spend 12 days in Minnesota (4 degrees)?

    Thats just bad decision making.
