I'm picking Washington for the upset of the afternoon.

BTW Folks - if you're watching on IPTV today don't surf away at intermission. UNI will be introducing at least 15 of their past national champions during the break - including 1948 Olympic Gold Medalist, Bill Smith.

Remember, if you're going to Cedar Falls (as I am), the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum is holding a Night of Champions reception for these UNI honorees. It begins at 5:00 and is free to the public.

157: Cyler went out and looked strong, getting some takedowns. Then he locked up the cradle he turned Morningstar with, but got it a lot tighter, and when he took Beets over he didn't break his grip.
165: Lots of action, Reader was in deep on a shot and Fay wiggled his way out and got 2. From then on it was a reversal-fest, neither guy could ride the other, and lots of scramble action. If they wrestled 30 more seconds, I'm sure Reader would have reversed him, 30 sec after that Fay would get the reversal. This match was like a football game where whoever gets the ball last wins.
174: At one point it was 4-4, then Dolly poured it on. Pursel got the start here, maybe because Scott was not doing well at all, maybe because he hurt his leg against Iowa, maybe a combination.
184: Surprise surprise, Varner controlled the pace, but got after it more and got 2 stalling points. He worked so methodically I didn't even realize he was about to get a major.
197: OK, 165 was more entertaining but 197 had a better outcome. Bert got Anderson in a cradle and rolled him over. ISU was really working the cradles today and I loved it.
285: Z did not look great to begin but just wore the other guy down. It definitely worked today but I am worried about matches where he faces a guy who won't wear down, a la Fields.
125: Flores had about a foot on Kist. Kist got a TD at the edge of the mat and locked up a cradle but couldn't bring him back in. He rode really good, which from my days as a short wrestler against a taller wrestler, was tough. Kist backed down a bit in the third, I would like to see him more aggressive, I thought he was about to get hit for stalling.
133: Very competitive match, if Washington gets his lungs he will be tough. Fanthorpe wrestled a tough match, grinded it out and came away with the W.
141: Gallick went out and busted his butt and pretty much controlled the match. He got hit for stalling but all Ettelson did was throw the legs in and break him down, he wasn't working for anything. I was very happy to see Gallick win after a couple tough weeks.
149: Ketcher got the start here, and almost was about 5 seconds from a win, just couldn't finish the takedown in time. Pickerell looked a full weight heavier but did not look great on his feet.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
