I loved this tournament in high school, but hated it with a passion in college. I'm not sure if it's at the same place, but in college they had it at a rodeo arena, and they put mats over dirt and there were often lumps in the mats as a result of this. And it was always freezing in the arena also. And the only two times I was every physically sick during a tournament was at Reno and I always lost to guys that I should have killed.

I have only attended this tournament one time and I have to agree about the comments made by homerindon when it was held at the Rodeo arena. That place was awful and it ought to be against the rules to hold wrestling events in rodeo arenas (the Best of the West tournament is also held in a rodeo arena). The floors are uneven and dangerous to the competitors and they are generally cold places to hold a big event.

BTW does anyone here know who will be covering the Reno TOC online this year?

I wish Boise State was attending this tournament this season but alas it is finals week for Boise State this week.

Well, believe it or not, it's true.....I was at the Reno tournament a few years ago.....when it was still being held in the rodeo arena down there in Reno, NV., and they had the mats laid out on the dirt floor of the rodeo arena. And at the Best of the West tournament over in southern Oregon (Ashland?) they did the same thing. I must have seen half a dozen wrestlers who twisted an ankle due to that very thing. I also was on the mats at one time and couldn't believe how uneven the surface was. The onlly real surprise was that more kids didn't injure themselves.

Boise State is not going to be at this tournament this season but I would still like to "follow" the results of this tournament since 8 of the (now) 10 teams in the PAC 10 are going to be competing there this season. QUESTION - IS THERE ANY PLACE ONLINE WHERE ONE CAN SEE THE RESULTS OF THIS TOURNAMENT???????
