I know it's still a long ways off (Dec. 29th and Dec. 30th) but I'm wondering who each team will be taking to the Southern Scuffle. I'm told that each team that attends the Southern Scuffle is allowed to take a maximum of 15 competitors and I'm also told that redshirts ARE allowed to compete. With that in mind it looks like Boise State will be taking the following (and one more guy who has yet to be determined):

I'd love to see Hochstrasser vs Reiter. Kirk White has been telling me that Hochstrasser is looking really tough. I know he won the best of the west tourney last month.

Bronco, do you know if he's wrestled is any other open tourneys and if so, how he faired? I assume he has wrestled at a couple tournaments if his record is 10-0 this season.

I believe he is redshirting this year. (He is back from a 2 year mission and I forget the reason why he decided to redshirt).

definite redshirt, staff wanted to give Andrew a redshirt to get him back in wrestling focus, which it seems he has done quite nicely. Pre-season top ten next year.

Hochstrasser won both the Cowboy Open tournament (first tournament of the year) and the Best of the West.

He is being redshirted this season because that was the plan from day one - he competed as a true freshman - then went on his 2 year LDS church mission with the express purpose of redshirting when he returned. That is precisely what he is doing this year. He should be a force at 133 lbs next season tho.
