I don't know that they win this this year. It would have been a point or two swing either way. Depending on how glasser and Dretch wrestle differently. I think Donahoe would have won(but it could have gone the other way). I think CP would have won. I also think that had Nebraska been at full strength the Dretch match would have been wrestled slightly differently , maybe not.

Had they been at full strength, I would not have been surprised at all if Nebraska won. In hindsight however, the way I would have predicted it would have been a 16-16 tie with one major decision apiece. Which coincidentally is the way Goferphan predicted it on bigeleven.

The difference is that when the team score is tight, people wrestle differently, its a fact. But I think, personally at full strength it would have been dead even.

I have a predisposed dislike of the big 12 in general, but Next year, everyone had better watch out for the huskers.

i guess we won't know that because they chose to not only sit out the meets after non-threatening injuries that i could tell from Cliff Keen but also because there was no one there to back them up at those weights...

i will give all the props in the world to the guys for nebraska that showed up but because they forfeited, they lost, this woulda, coulda, shoulda crap doesn't fly with me two days later...

i can tell you this, four years from now if anyone is looking at the historical statistics of these two teams matching up, this dual will look like a 25-13 win and that is all, no asterisks, no excuses...two forfeits was a shame for nebraska but they don't give points for close enough in this sport that I am aware of...

Pretty much. And either way, Ness and CP still have winning records for their careers over Donahoe and Oliver respectively.
