Let it all out here boys...its the day of the big battle. ISU got into town early yesterday (smart move) ahead of the ice and snow and its go time.
Minny gonna give ISU a lesson on the difference between young and talented versus mat savvy and experience. Ness will start things off with a roar as Marty Morgan and J. Rob give him the "win one for the Gipper speech" and the lightweights will keep it going all the way through C.P. Yes, these will all be battles and not just gimme's. Come on, we know this is ISU we are tangling with today.
Glasser will give Reader a battle at 165 but neither wrestler comes out of there with more than 3 points for their team.
174 goes back to the Gophers and gets momentum back to Minny.
184 Kish remembers the "off the mat" shenanigans from Varner at All-Star Classic and with a little help from Marty Morgan and pushes Varner for seven minutes. He comes out on top of this one and the bad blood builds for later this year.
Bertolino and Zabriskie finish things off for Iowa State but neither gets a pin.
Minny takes it without having to worry about Bertolino and Zabriskie pinning our 197 and Heavies because we out in front by more than 12 at that point.
Have a safe drive home and stay a couple of extra days in Minny if the roads are too dangerous. Lots of things to do at the Mall of America. Catch a Timberwolves game as there are lots of good seats available.
Good night now!
(All of this is in good fun so don't everyone get your panties in a bunch.)
