I am glad to see that no one is dignifying this with a response. It ain't where you start Big, its where you finish. Your boy Nickerson has learned this lesson. I am calling Ruggs and Glenn now though. Rugg's is the whole package. Lets see if he can keep the motor all year.

Due to pure boredom I actually went and looked this up. Michigan leads all states with four, Pennsylvania, and Ohio have three. I guess if you're assuming Rugg moves up into the top 2 then you can give New York three as well. So I guess, technically...Michigan owns DI wrestling |

I still think the college that recruits all of these fine young talents from across the country OWN wrestling and until the mantle is taken away, I will give that nod to Minnesota.

Well, if we had Nickerson.......... By the way, it looks like Gillespie and Glenn are ranked 1st. If Lou gets ranked 1st, that is 3 1st place rankings for NY. Can Michigan top that? |

Gillespie and Ruggs will both lose matches this year to move them off of #1 but if Ruggs does get to #1, then you will have some bragging rights then at that point, for a day.

Konrad put it to Mocco two years ago, and he didn't move ahead of him until he beat him at National Duals.

![]() States with large populations AND a wrestling culture (NY, PA, OH) tend to produce more top-ranked wrestlers. I don't if its true, but I've been told that per capita, N. Dakota produces the most college wrestlers. As far as I'm concerned, if you go to Minny, you're a gopher. If you go to Okla State, you're a cowboy, etc., no matter if you come from Iran, Mongolia, or Scarsdale.
