I don't know that lungs had anything to do with it. Perry had wrestled for a total of 3 min 26 seconds of match time before the ODU dual.

He started the day with a 21 second pin and followed that with another fall in 3:05. There's no reason he shouldn't have been completely fresh for his 3rd match.

I think it comes down to lack of focus for a match he figured he'd win easily. In the long run, I doubt it'll matter because this is still early season and he'll be focused when it counts in March.

Obviously the Galloway-Brown matches last year had the interest of both Elisa and I, for obvious reasons, and we did discuss it at times.

For those that don't know much about Brown, here's some bit of a resume.
2x State Champion, 4x Placer, 6-4-1-1
Cadet FS All-American, NHSCA All-American
Beast Champion, Ironman Champion
Won 30-something matches last year, led Hluschak in the final 10 seconds twice (dual and CAA semis) and got "Shak'd" to his back twice.
Cut a lot of weight ... did it "old school" according to former assistant Lee Pritts.

Wrestled with the PWA (same club as me, homer, grips, frishkorns, bond, etc.) until moving to Great Bridge. Was solid as a youth nationally. Good kid, too.

I probably got 10 calls/texts after it happend, but for obvious reasons, I've gotta somewhat "be away" from it. I'm happy for him, but still gotta stay the line.

Very good point. I have said on a different thread that I thought he would lose this year because he gets lazy on the mat. Against Fay he had similar problems (lack of focus). He doesn't seem to turn it on focus wise until tournament time. Bringing Kerr may have kept him mentally fresh.
