Whats the deal with the gophers so far this season. The bar is set so high and it doesnt seem as if the gophers are winning the big individual matches that they won a year ago. Does anyone else notice a slow start or have i just imagined they should dominate a little more than they are now. They are good until the big individual matches whats going on?

Well, I mean they did the same thing last year dropping the match to Hofstra. I'd much prefer them to take meaningless losses at the All Star match than to stink it up on Friday night at NCAA's like they did last year.

What??...and miss out on the Friday night fun of curling up in the fetal position to cry yourself to sleep after a fifth of Jack Daniel's just praying that visions of Gillespie flying through the air won't haunt your dreams......not that it happened to me, I'm just saying

Way too early to give a grade on the Gophs...but I can tell you the coaches let those boys know how they felt. I think the NWCA needs to go back to the "good old days" and run this thing as a real match and bump it back to a mid season event with as true a 1 vs. 2 that can be had.

JRob always plans his team development to peak in February / March. What goes between now and National Duals is moot. The Big Ten duals do not start until mid January and even those matches are meaningless since the Big Ten title goes to the tournament champion.

    Brother Gopherfan,
LOL! As a SF Giants and SF 49ers fan, well, lets just say that everything in the above quote is the same except the night of sobbing has been Sunday (except during baseball season, then it's a 5 day per week deal ) and the haunting visions are of Seahawk, Cardinal and Ram outside linebackers flying at our so-called "Quarterback" Alex while he scratches his head in confusion over the strange concept of "1st down". Goood times. NOT.
