    VAIS,
didn't Horan split with Beckman last year ? I like the CMU lightweights a lot.
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

    I like them too.

Pretty sure Horan beat him 2 years ago. Beckman looks much better based on last year with Horan having a pretty mediocre RS year.

Nice work both to Vais and SHP. the only downside to my hunger for the beginning of the wrestling season is that it means I have to put my motorcycle away. :-(

Thanks for putting in the work on this Vais! I'm a little slow in catching up on the boards this summer, but appreciate your work. SHP--interesting to read of ISU projected back into the top 10 again. I hope it comes to be. I'm not a particular ISU fan, but with their storied history would love to see them back in the mix.

One other note--Cornell is dropping with the loss of Dake & Bosak. They have had good recruits each year, but the Villalonga/Peppelman recruiting year hasn't lived up to potential so far. It will be interesting to see if they can continue to bring promising recruits along as they did in the past (and come up with some real surprises). Certainly Garrett is an excellent example and I think Grey will do fine.

I was crazy high on Villalonga coming into his Freshman year and he's made almost no improvements since getting to Cornell. Not sure why.

Really? I had the impression late in his sr year of HS that he was hitting a plateau. If I recall, his Fargo results were good but not great that summer. Doesn't mean I predicted what he's done since, but I had concerns. He didn't look like a kid ready to take off.

Iowa State seems to have turned the corner. I heard 20+ stayed in Ames and trained all summer. Hopefully we can stay healthy and continue the improvement. I am excited to watch our potential biggest surprise in Quean Smith take the mat at Hwt. I don't think we have a good idea what 125 to 157 will look like to start the season. Lots of depth and competition at certain weights and guys might move around to try and get in the lineup.
