I got a chance to watch the semis on DVR... my thoughts.
By my count, there were 11 matches where the winner scored one td/reversal or less. There were 3 matches taht got decided by riding time advantage after no offensive points- that's 11 miinutes of no scoring. That's too many The Golden Pylon award will have to be shared this year.
On a high note, they seemed to get most of the big-name finals matchups (ie the guys a casual fan like myself would recognize). Port's, Kilgore's, Ramos' and Nelson's matches were pretty exciting.
I hope Oliver and Taylor aren't hurt. Both of them seemed a but shook up when they took their injury time. Taylor came back and ripped his guy's face off. Oliver, not so much- hope he's 100% to go tomorrow.
Brown looks like a cartoon character of a wrestler- so stocky and ripped.
Man, is Delgado FAST! I can't imagine he has a lot of boring matches.
Man, did Gelagolev EVER screw up! I can't believe he did that jump-into-the-air, fall over and lay there move.
I loved Taylor's comments post- match. Something like "I guarantee it won't be another 3-2 final. There will be points!" Easier to say than to do, but it's fun that he's going into the finals with that attitude.
