Default ISU 39 Northern Illinois 4

I don't want to circumvent the automatic results feature that the Administrator has set up, but for those who can't wait for certain results, here's the skinny on the ISU-N. Ill. meet.

I paid attention to see the real "marquee" match between Fanthorpe and Castillo. Nice early season 6-1 win for Fanthorpe.

Definitely put up as many results as you want, the email system won't be upset! The last thing I want to do is make people wait for anything, so the first one to post wins!

Good showing by ISU, they looked in shape, and aggressive.

125: I like Hanisch. He may not be the most talented guy but it really shows a lot when you walk on and stick it out in a D1 room for 5 years. Wrestled pretty solid, looked kind of gassed at the end but I think he is cutting a lot of weight.
133: Fanthorpe looked pretty good against a pretty good wrestler. Was attacking the whole time and got a stalling call against Castillo.
141: No one will call Nick as boring as Nate. He got in some wild scrambles, almost got pinned once or twice. I'd like to see him clean it up a bit but a good match still.
149: Mueller definitely did not look as big as the NIU guy. But he went out and put it to him. I feel pretty good about having him as a backup on my team.
157: Cyler looked good but he gave up the major at the end. Would be nice to have kept the NIU guy under control till the match was over but I guess I won't complain about a 12-5 win in the season's first match.
165: Jon Reader is not 40 but HE IS A MAN!!! He's a beast and hit a sweet roll in the second to reverse and stick his guy.
174: Burk is tough and Artist is a freshman. Would be nice to have more experience at this weight (see: Minnesota 197 last year).
184: Varner scared his guy during warmups apparently
197: Bert looked good moving up two weights, and again was attacking the whole time.
285: Zabriskie looked good, wore out the other heavy, and had him gassed going into the second. Had an awesome trip to take the other guy to his back and stick him.

As I said, looked good for a first meet but will need to pick it up against Big 12 competition.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

    Yes, good summary, 2008.

Schlottke, I was thinking earlier about where we would comment on the meet. I think as you have it set up, we'll have the college results as a ready source (the box scores so to speak) and then if we want to make comments, we just start a different thread.

Thats the idea. The scores being posted will be as you said a ready made database for general use. We certainly aren't going to restrict talk on matches.

Going to be a TON of help for me when it comes to tabulating scores for the Fantasy League.

You're kind of seeing why said big site can't wait for results to be entered into the weight management system -- it's about news and how fast things can get up. A lot of this is contingent on how fast the data is loaded and then processed.

It's a work in progress, but I'm still going to be up late nights updating results.

I agree about Hanisch. Not the flashiest guy in the room, but tons of respect for the 5th year senior. Same goes for Aron Scott.
