    Default Ramos Vs Schopp

Didn't get home in time to watch it live, but Ramos with a dominating 9-0 MD over Schopp. Port beat Ballweg 5-0.

Didn't catch the match and am a little surprised by the score, but far from shocked. When Tony gets going on his feet the only person in his league is Logie bear. Excited to see them meet up multiple times in the coming weeks.

I read a lot of chatter on various boards that 133 was far from a two man race....today's result would suggest otherwise. It reminds me of Taylor's dismantling of Caldwell at the Scuffle.

What interests me in the Ramos bout was that he shut Schopp out. I knew that Ramos was very tough on his feet, but didn't know that he would mat wrestle that well. I think that mat wrestling (at least top) is Schopp's strength. Makes the Stieber-Ramos bout just that much more interesting!

Ramos chose neutral in the second, while Scopp chose top in the third and was reversed by Tony. Some one can correct me if I'm wrong, but to me knowledge no one has ridden Tony effectively all year. Stieber is just such a complete wrestler from every position that it is hard to do anything against him. Tony has made strides in his Mat wrestling but I still am not sure it's enough.

    Very nice result for Tony.

He is improved this year. Logan Stieber hasn't been resting on his laurels either. He has been just as dominant as Tony has this year. The finals are going to be something else this year.

    McD v. Nico/Jesse D
    Tony/Stieber
    Stieber/Maple
    Dake/Taylor

I'm not familiar with how Ramos has done against Stieber in the past. Have they been close? Is the talk of Ramos being close based on common competition?

7-0 last year in the Iowa v. Ohio State dual.

5-2 in the Big 10 finals

    4-2 in the NCAA Semi's

They have wrestled 3 times with Logan winning all 3. The last 2 matches have been really close. In last years NCAA semifinals Logan I think won by 1pt. It will be close again but Ramos will have to get a TD and Escape to win. Ramos can Get a TD but he must not allow riding time like he has in the past. I say Ramos beats Logan once this year.
