Shutting them out is impressive but looking at Illinois I can't help but not be impressed. Delgado doesn't appear that he has taken that next step, Thomas is not wrestling well right now, Futrell is out but was overrated anyway, Blanton is solid (nice win by Brown), Polz isn't great, I don't see Mario Gonzalez or Tony Dallago being AAs. They have guys up and down their lineup that have shown potential but they have no top top talent and I wouldn't be shocked if they only had two AAs. Dominating win by PSU but I stand by my statement that Illinois just isn't that good.

I hear you 1st place and you make a good case. But still, again, that same team came within a controversial call from beating Minn recently. That's not too shabby! One of my main points was how significant match-ups are in dual results (something I think we all agree on!).

Aside from his matches with Dake I believe this is the first match this season where Taylor hasn't scored bonus.

Jeff Byers (PSU radio for wrestling) announced it that way, so I think you are right.

Nice to see Penn St bounce back in a big way! Great wins for Nico, Conaway, and Brown. Conaway should be a top 5 seed at B1G's.

Yes, it ended up a bit scary. DT was cruising 13-2 late in the 3rd period and got high and Polz reversed him to his back and almost pinned him!

On a side note I hope that video replay is instituted as this season shows that Minny would have won a lot more duals in years past if only we could have challenged some calls.

    I just don't see it...David Thorn is not elite. I don't think he'll place"
