Q-Dub up 2-0 after the first, rode him for most of the period.

Q up 5-0 after 2. Like watching paint dry.

The announcer keeps calling the wrestlers "players", which is bothering the dog-crap out of me.

That's a real possibility, but Lofthouse did hang pretty tough with Steinhaus, so maybe he is turning it around a bit.

For those who didn't see Brown v Kokesh, it was a great match with Kokesh getting the win he deserved. He withstood brown's typical physical assault, actually looking to the ref at one point as Brown was really working Kokesh's head. If there had been 2 more seconds in the second period, Kokes gets the pin. If there had been 3 more seconds at the end of the third, Brown gets the pin. Really fun to watch, though Brown definitely faded (as mentioned earlier) and starting leaving his feet and legs really available. He absolutely can not do that any longer and expect to finish in the top 4-5.

I'm not really surprised that AA faded - there was an absolute ton of action early - and with this being his first real match in 2 months, well, the gas tank is likely to be a little smaller.
I am surprised that Brown faded as much as he did, to the point that I wondered if they had him trained too much this week. He usually has no issues with that.

Alton just wrestled in the Hitchcock, which is a reasonably tough tournament where he beat Paddock, a quality wrestler. I don't buy the "first match back" thing for Alton, we've seen this issue with him more than once. We'll see who's right, though.

    Have we?

My perception (and maybe this is just me) of the "Andrew Alton has a bad gas tank" idea is that it seemingly arose and has been maintained off the basis of his one match with Marion.
