I heard if Logan doesn't wrestle its because Ramos really hurt his feelings for saying he doesn't like him.
125--McD MD Triggas 4-0 Iowa
133--Ramos Dec Stieber 7-0 Iowa (Since rumors aboud that Logan is out I'm not sure who to throw in here. Even if Logan wrestles I think that Ramos gets him once)
141--Stieber Dec Ballweg 7-3 Iowa
149--Tessari/Paddock Dec Kelly 7-6 Iowa
157--DSJ MD Demas 11-6 Iowa
165--Moore Dec Martin 14-6 Iowa
174--Evans Dec Heflin 17-6 Iowa
184--Lofthouse Dec Courts 20-6 Iowa
197--Camp Dec Burak 20-9 Iowa
Hwt--Telford Dec Capone 23-9 Iowa
If Stieber and Heflin both wrestle I don't think it'll be this lopsided and I can see several of these matches going differently.
McDonough beats Triggas 11-4. Had potential to be one of those close but not really matches when Triggas stole a quick couple points to make it 6-4 with about 30 seconds left but then he put himself to his back for four points to open the score up.
Ramos is abusing some poor back up.
Ramos gets 14 takedowns and adds a riding time point for the TD tech fall 29-14
After a shaky start Stieber gets a couple of takedowns in the second period and adds riding time to win it 6-4 to get Ohio State on the board.
That being said, this match reminds me why I enjoy watching Mark Ballweg wrestle. Love the scrambles that he creates to defend shots.
I didn't get to the tv in time to see it - why on earth didn't Ramos go for the 5 point TF? Everything seems to show Iowa needs as many points as possible.
like Ballweg's fight but he has to shoot if he wants to win. Mike Kelly looking like Mike Kelly
Gibbons just said Tessari "okie doked" Kelly - what in the heck does that mean? Like a rope a dope?
