Sad to hear, and Lehigh has been hit hard between he and Meys having these health problems.
Go Hawkeyes.
I've seen several of these cases in the clinic and they often end with no clear cut answer as to why the patient's blood oxygen is low. From my experience these people often return to a near normal state and are able to function normally. It's tough to see a kid in such great shape struggle so much with his health. I wish Eric the best and hope that he can get over this.
I'm a fellow in the department of Molecular and Cellular Pathology at UAB. My research expertise is hypoxia related cancer therapy. While not hypoxemia, there are several overlapping themes amongst the two. I have recently accepted a position with pfizer as a senior scientist to help develop drugs for cancer therapy. There are people that are far more knowledgable on the subject than me but I do have more experience than your average Joe with these cases.

You are a coach of a wrestler who is unable to participate in the sport due to a medical condition. Do you pull his scholarship?
