Though I do my absolute best to avoid the "other site" it seems like all heck has broken loose over the last couple days. Many established members have said they aren't going back, so I figure this would be a good place for recently spurned members of TheMat to post and say hello.

Mods - if this isn't appropriate for the college board or I missed a previous attempt feel free to move or delete. I figure this is the first board most refugees would check out so it would be the easiest to find. Hopefully it'll entice some ex-TheMatters to sign up.

seems we have had several "Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses longing to be free..." threads pop up on occasions of mass exodus, but our old search tool seems to have vanished so I have a hard time finding old threads

Thank Craig Sesker for people losing interest over there. He's the one that led the charge at getting everything deleted and many longtime posters banned.

Yeah.. it gets hit by a lot of spammers and really bogs down the site, plus I think the google search is just as accurate (available on the front page, everywhere shortly)... might not be though.

Ah yes, it's all Craig. The guy has a job to do, not babysit and moderate idiots on a forum. I've had posts gobbled up by deleted threads too, and I've disagreed with columns before, but I'm not crying about it.

The problem with the board isn't with USAW, it's those who have made it the cesspool. How can any one person moderate thousands of posts per day and still be productive in the job their primarily paid to do?

Quit making it personal. Craig's a helluva guy who has done great things for the sport of wrestling. He's the scapegoat for idiots being banned on the forums.

But when you disagreed with a column were you banned for it? Was your press pass denied? Big difference here. I'm sure he's a helluva guy, but doesn't like people disagreeing with him and definately doesn't like that knowledge to be made public.

I would certainly hope that as a journalist, if someone disagreed with you, you wouldn't want their voice silenced. This is exactly the case with Craig. He's wants voices silenced when they speak out against him and that just isn't right and it doesn't sit well with many people, including people he works with.

Now as far the the deletion of constant threads of good topics, isn't that the reason why this site and others were created in the first place?
