But when you disagreed with a column were you banned for it? Was your press pass denied? Big difference here. I'm sure he's a helluva guy, but doesn't like people disagreeing with him and definately doesn't like that knowledge to be made public.

I would certainly hope that as a journalist, if someone disagreed with you, you wouldn't want their voice silenced. This is exactly the case with Craig. He's wants voices silenced when they speak out against him and that just isn't right and it doesn't sit well with many people, including people he works with.

Now as far the the deletion of constant threads of good topics, isn't that the reason why this site and others were created in the first place?

But why deny others the right to cry about it? My frustration is that there has been no real discussion about that column.



The defence of Sesker here is starting to sound like Sesker's own defence of Metcalf.

1. First we get admonished for not offering specifics when objecting to Sesker's column (though well-written SPECIFIC critiques were offered and summarily deleted on the other site).
2. When specific criticisms were offered on here (and on other sites), there has been no response. Is that because no defence of Sesker's column works? THERE HAS BEEN NO DISCUSSION.
3. Instead we are offered what a great guy he is and some observations about banning posters and deleting threads, which are all beside the point. The point is the worthiness of his column. Defend it. Tell me I'm wrong and why.

Put it this way, at the close of his infamous column, Sesker rages about the classlessness of "booing" Metcalf. What exactly does he mean by that (hint--he wasn't referring to vocal booing, but rather to written booing)?

And hasn't the NCAA now, as an organization, fullfilled Sesker's definition of "booing"?

Disagree!! I used the old search a lot where you could select multiple criteria, like who started the thread, etc. :punch:

So Sesker's a great guy who is loved by children and small animals. And he's overworked, underpaid and trying to do a good job. That still doesn't excuse the way that forum is run. If you can't treat people with the respect that they deserve and police your forum properly, shut the thing down. Don't treat people like crap and make your whole organization look like amateurs (oh, that's right, they are amateurs).

Well said. We all know about the issues over at the cesspool. No need to rehash.

I think the new members should check out Wiltz's 5000th post in the NWT section. It's a good example of how it's generally friendlier over here and bonds have been formed. Things aren't quite as antagonistic most of the time. Sometimes when there's a new surge of "refugees" things get stirred up, but most posters on here don't take the bait and the trolls eventually go away.
