agree. Doesn't say anything in the article about during the short time he was an asst at Penn State, he quit in the middle of the season to pursue developing his own camps full-time.

Nothing against Ken he does a lot for the sport, but why would you hire someone who has very little coaching experience to be the head coach at a Big 10 school. He has TONS of camp experience, and coaching youth kids, but college is much different.

Exactly. 2.5 seasons as an assistant coach, around 20 years ago, doesn't seem like the kind of qualifications PSU would be looking for. Recruiting kids for college is also a lot different than recruiting kids for camps.

And you also have to keep in mind that while he does have some "connections" with high school coaches & kids around the country, he also has many many burned bridges behind him.

I also don't believe he'd want to give up his camp business and have to submit to someone else's authority.
