McFarland has always been my favorite DI coach. He recruited me really hard, but I decided to stay close to home. Michigan was the only other place that I was really considering. While I had a blast at ASU etc, it was obvious that the guys on Michigan's team were really close, whereas most people on our team were usually in their own world. I hate to say it, but I don't think I made the best choice in the world back then.
