Andy Hamilton posted the Evans 165, Gambrall 174, Lofthouse 184 news. TOM also confirmed it, but apparently also confirmed that Skonieczny has in fact left the program.

Should be fun! The Skonieczny news is really upsetting. I think he has all the tools to be a great one and was excited to see him wrestle for the hawks. His style was perfect for Iowa but college is obviously about more than just wrestling. I wish the kid all the best and hopefully he finds his way back to Iowa City

Kind of random, but I'm rooting for Ballweg at 141.

Enjoyed watching him while he filled in during Marion's permanent suspension.

Me too. I'm thinking he has a good year. Most people don't remember he was 23-4 at 141 before moving up to 149 and doing poorly there.

I even thought he was decent up there. He didn't win much, but he played the role they needed him to play in terms of not giving up bonus points and winning occasionally.

Does anyone know why Lofthouse isn't at least eliminating with Gambrall for the spot at 174? I would guess that it's because he feels he can't beat Gambrall and it's best for him to bulk up for 184 now--but don't know for sure.

The word i got is that he has been thinking about moving up and decided with Gambrall also making 174; it would be an easy transition for him to go 184.
