Why? He has taken a program that was a national powerhouse and turned it into a program that is struggling to even get one guy on the podium

Well, I'll play the broken record again: they're called down years; a very common occurance in sports.

Second, this season hasn't even begun yet, so, as much as any of us knows, ISU could be GREATLY improved this year, which I think that they will, especially if Gadson is in the lineup.

Now I understand that being a fan of Northern Iowa you are used to a team not accomplishing anything at nationals, but I think to most of us its pretty clear that Kevin Jackson has done a horrible job at ISU. He took one of the perennial powerhouse programs in wrestling and has turned it into the laughingstock of the country in just a few short years.

KJ has been at ISU for three years now, so lets take a look at his overall stats:

0AA performances from kids he has recruited
1AA from someone who wasn't a returning AA under Cael (AL, who later left the program)
Consistently worse NCAA performances from ISU every year he has been coach thus far (Although last years rock bottom might be tough to beat)
The 1st and 2nd worst NCAA finishes of ISU in the last 50 years
The first year without an AA for ISU since 1962
The worst overall dual record of any coach in ISU history (KJ is 2 losses away from having an overall losing record)
The worst single season dual record in ISU history
Two consecutive last place finishes in conferences
The single worst conference performance of ANY B12 team since 2001
Despite being in the absolute basement, no signs of rebuilding, with 2012 and 2011 recruiting classes that fell outside the top 25.

But you're right, every powerhouse team has down years.. or two.. or three...
And I get that when a new coach takes over it is normal for a teams performance to decline for the first few years, which is probably why Tom Brands and Cael Sanderson struggled so much when they took over Iowa and Penn State.

As I said, this year has yet to reveal itself, so you could, for once, be dead wrong this year.

Any particular reason why you neglected to mention his ROOKIE SEASON, where ISU finished 3rd nationally, and ISU had three AA's?

I was one of them. He was saying all the right things and had me believing. Unfortunately he has proven that he can't recruit or coach...Which are two things you need to do in Div I. I was wrong.
