I think we all agree that Gable lost the mental matchup with Owings, especially he said so. However, the comparison here doesn't work.

If we are using that as a parallel, then Dake got inside Taylor's head and convinced him to become injured during practice. To me, this is absurd. What we have heard at this time is that he was hurt and couldn't finish practice with his own guys, not while wrestling Dake.

A match where this might be a more likely argument was Amuchastegui breaking Ruth mentally while also damaging his knee. While I disagree that Ruth stopped the match for mental reasons, the argument at least has some believability in that case. Not here.

If it was a Hawkeye that backed out due to injury, obviously nobody would be questioning his manhood. But since he wrestles at Penn State, where mental weakness runs rampant, the size of his cajones will be questioned.

Nice, Herkey. BTW you never told me who that guy is next to Cael in your avatar. Are they brothers?

You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

Thanks, Russ, that's helpful. I'll write that down so that I don't forget and have to ask Herkey again!

Watch it Russ. I won' do all of your fantasy research for you if you disrespect Tom like that again.

and I should probably change the avatar. We were brothers in the off season when we had to fight the evil Koll but now the season is right around the corner and we must go back to our bitter rivalry.
