He has shown he can roll with Vinson, he gave him a run in the match. I just think it's TOO many good guys for him to circumvent. Could he beat one or two of those guys? Sure. But over the course of the NCAA tournament. I don't see it. He almost never even attacks legs. I think that will come back to bite you eventually.

Re: Anyone else agree?
Although cracking top 5 is highly, highly unlikely....I think OU has a great opportunity to make some noise this season. Two finalists (Howe and Maple) and 4 potential AAs (Patterson, Lester, Lester, Rutt). They have too many holes to perform at NCAAs, but they should have a solid dual team (could beat OSU). A dual featuring Oliver/Maple and Caldwell/Howe would be incredible.
I have PSU winning again. Too many bonus points plain and simple. Iowa, Minny, and tOSU could make it close, but in the end they'll be fighting for second. Cornell and OSU will fight for 5th.

Re: Anyone else agree?
Actually, I think OU has a much stronger lineup than Cornell for this coming year. So they are 6th at worst in terms of pre-season rankings

I would say that OU is a bigger threat at NCAA's than in duals, in light of said holes. Adding Howe and Rutt was huge. If Patterson and the Lesters put it together they could make a top 5 run.

Re: Anyone else agree?
Rutt is a potential finalist imo.

But not as weak as you thought. I'm surprised you are posting about 149 after your pronouncement last year that Dylan Ness is mediocre and overrated.
We have met the enemy and they is us.

I would agree with you--along with 4 or 5 others.
