I disagree. Watching a team like PSU the past few years, it is obvious to me that Cael has them sold on the team idea. Listening to them talk after matches I hear them time and again emphasize getting bonus points for the team. I'm not saying anyone would mail it in without the team concept but I don't think they would have the sense of urgency that comes with their score counting towards the team. When they go into a match with the mentality that they NEED bonus points then they will wrestle more aggressively IMO. When all they need is a win, then why go for the extra takedown? Thats one of the beefs I have with freestyle. Once someone gets the lead they just go defensive because there is no need for extra points.

As a side note, does anyone else find it highly hippocritical for the NCAA to make a move like this that could change the entire way a sport is competed, based soley on money? Yet if a dead broke athlete signs a few autographs to make enough money to take his girl to a movie, they suspend him or pose sanctions on the college.

The on;y way that ESPN / NCAA makes more money is to make the sport more popular... so even if it is just a money grab, if it works it is good for the sport. I don't think it is a terrible idea. Dual meets are more exciting than tournament team scoring and in the end the individual titles wil matter more than any team title.
IMO, the best thing and simplest thing they could do is more it up a week earlier so it does not conflict with the first week of BBall MArch Madness
