All- America ( as in a geographic description)

All -American connotes everyone is American. Franklin Gomez is Puerto Rican.

Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Okay, I can see no one is taking to my dissenting opinion, so let's try this on for size.

You are an All-American if you are on the All-America Team.
All-American being singular of the plural All-America team.

Clearly he's been using the wrong name all these years. I'm glad she clarified that for us.

That's one that drives me nuts when I hear someone saying "rbi's". There is no need for an "S" anywhere in the pronunciation of those three letters. If you want to add an "s" then say the words and add the plural where appropriate.
It drives me even more nuts when it's a baseball commentator who's mispronouncing it. They're paid to speak and paid to talk about baseball. They should know better.

    Exactly

But in wrestling context, it isn't really considered an All-America "team" so I still contend that for all wrestling-related purposes, it's All-American.
