Thread: My Out of Focus Pictures of "The Push"

Default My Out of Focus Pictures of "The Push"

I didn't post these on www.amateurwrestlingphotos.com since I was so close to the action that their heads were cut off and the pics are out of focus. But people were asking me if I had any pictures of "the push" so I finally decided to share them with you guys.

The reactions of the people in the crowd are more interesting than the foreground.

In the second shot my buddy Joe is clearly trying to stop what he realizes is about to occur.

I'll cut Metcalf some slack knowing his intensity and will to the full 7:00. Hands out ready for the TD, suddenly the knees rise near the face. I don't believe he was running after Caldwell with the intent to push him.

As Damion Hahn says if there's time on the clock there's time to wrestle. Metcalf saw an opening when Caldwell turned his back on him.

I'm cutting Metcalf some slack on this one.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

The only problem I have with that, is that Metcalf is in no real position for a takedown. He is approaching standing up and looks only to have his hands ready to push. IMO, they both just got caught up in an intense, emotional moment and let that get in the way of better judgment.

After re-watching "The Push" on TV I noticed Caldwell actually smiling as he was getting up from it... No harm, no foul- IMO.
