    Exactly Wiltz. That was why it didn't make sense. This wasn't one of those times when Metcalf was laying hard on the head (like he usually does) as DC was flat on the mat. Made no difference, but was just confusing.

    Either it's an escape or it's stalling. :duh:


    This is not just is DC's match with BM but, overall in general. I would like to see the stalling rule used more. At least be more consistent.

    I agree with that. I was surprised in multiple matches this weekend that the officials weren't at least using the stalling warning to get the guys to open up a bit and push the action.

    I'll have to watch it again, because I don't remember the exact sequence of events on that call, but I do remember wondering why the offical wasn't making some sort of call, be it an escape, or stalling, or both. It was like everyone but Metcalf was just standing there letting the clock run.
